The aim of the CODE Student Research Fellow Project: Open University China is to explore intercultural exchange in an online professional development course.As a fellow, I have been tasked with developing a framework for, and undertaking a review of the intercultural complexities of UK/China joint higher education using the University of London’s professional development course run for Open University China participants as a case study.Deliverables include: a literature review; Identification of an observation framework; Observation and interaction analysis of tutorial group meetings and OUC/CODE organizational meeting; Co-authoring a report on the project findings; and contributing to a presentation at the CODE RIDE conference 2023.
