As part of the course organised by Healthtech Finland, I worked for a small company, consulting them on plans to expand their smart ring business. My role ranged from working on strategy, communications and marketing to operations and sales. It was a great opportunity to make use of all my knowledge and experience of working in large co-operations and implement and learn how to adapt everything to a small start-up.

I was accountable for the development of documentation and product training capabilities at Qvantel, a rapidly growing provider of Business Support Solutions (BSS) for Communications Service Providers (CSP), mainly telecommunication operators. Our goal was to guide consumers in the use of their devices and services with accurate information in their native language and through the most convenient channels.At its largest, I managed an organization of 100+ employees, both internal and subcontracted. The throughput was as extensive as publishing some 150 support deliverables (user guide, help, FAQ, and so on) per each working day all throughout the year to three different channels, namely print, online and mobile. The coverage of languages was some 90. My role was to define and execute the different strategies we had in terms of, for example, development, operations, vendors, and people management. Another aspect that clearly defined my years at Nokia was the need to adjust to constant changes. As a leader it meant having to maintain high levels of performance even through the difficult times and making some hard decisions about scaling down activities and outsourcing operations.
