Senior leader at Forum for the Future, established Forum's first office outside the UK in New York, and built from the ground up to an annual income of $1m, working with over 50 US corporations and a staff of 10 with status as a 501(c)(3).Specifically responsible for:● Strategy development and project delivery across a range of organisations and stakeholder groups: for individual organisations such as major US corporations (including Nike, Target, Levi Strauss & Co) and non-profits (The Rainforest Alliance, Forest Stewardship Council); cross-sectoral groups (the US beauty and personal care industry); and multi-stakeholder groups on behalf of The Rockefeller Foundation.● Strategy & growth of US office: developed and evolved US strategy in line with global mission; recruited and managed staff, grew to team of ten; member of the global Senior Management Team collaborating to set strategy and oversight across the whole organisation; managed annual US budget and forecasting.● Business development: lead business development in US, winning sustainability strategy work with range of projects from $5,000 up to $1m. ● Sustainability advice and project delivery: project director for complex multi-stakeholder projects and strategy work for key US partners including Target, Walmart, Nike, Gap Inc, PepsiCo, Levi Strauss & Co., and INGOs such as The Forest Stewardship Council, The Rainforest Alliance, and The Rockefeller Foundation.● Thought leadership: speaking at conferences and writing on a range of sustainability topics, in particular future social, environmental and economic trends.● Legal oversight: led complex internal project to change our legal status in 2015/16, forming an independent 501(c)(3), in the process working with external partners such as lawyers, external HR specialists, insurance companies, and others to ensure smooth transition.● Work with board: appointed and worked closely with an external advisory board of experts.

Co-leader of one of Forum's two delivery programmes managing the team and offering strategic sustainability advice to a range of partners. I led all Forum’s public sector work, including projects for the National Health Service, the Department for International Development and Birmingham City Council.

Financial oversight for the UK section of a major international humanitarian aid agency, annual budget c.£14m and its subsidiary company.● Annual budget & reporting: produced statutory accounts, annual report, annual budget, management accounts and returns to the Inland Revenue & Charity Commission.● Working with rest of MSF-movement: worked with other finance directors on international issues, for example with the excess of earmarked funds for the 2004 Asian Tsunami.● Field secondments: seconded to field twice (Nigeria 2005 and Burundi 2006) to cover for absences and to conduct exploratory missions.

Trained as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche. I was based in the 'Management Solutions' practice, which offered consulting advice - my particular focus was on budgeting, discounted cash flow analysis and other business model work, particularly for public sector clients.Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999, with first time passes in all exams.
