Digital Workplace Group is the UK’s leading management consultancy in digital transformation and a strategic partner to 100+ leading corporates and public institutions. Alongside strategic planning, change and operational management of DWG, my focus remained on customer service provision and service delivery excellence, continuing to strengthen partnerships with core members and clients. I also managed both service and business changes in resourcing strategy, technology support, financial planning and operational.

In addition to the day-to-day management of DWG Headquarter operations (including finance, IT and people) and development of the Intranet Benchmarking Forum (now Digital Workplace Group) service portfolio, I was responsible for leading the provision of a broad range of services to member organisations across the world. I continued to benchmark FTSE 100 and.

During this tenure, I continued to deliver in-depth benchmarking of IBF’s (now DWG) member organisations whilst developing the service portfolio for members and managing resources across the growing IBF group.

I co-developed the IBF benchmarking model and benchmarked FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 company intranets in the areas of strategy, governance, business value, communication and culture. I helped to improve the intranets within Overy, BT, GE Insurance Solutions, GSK, HSBC, Maersk, Rolls Royce, Shell, Swiss Re and Unilever.

After volunteering at Alderman Pounder for many years helping with reading and maths, I joined the full governing board for a 3 year tenure - a very rewarding experience.

I established my own service delivery company, specialising in the provision of intranet and information services development support to clients.

I was a Guest Lecturer on resident MBA and Distance Learning MBA courses as part of the Information Systems Strategy module.

Walgreens Boots Alliance is a Trusted, Global Innovator in Retail Pharmacy. My role was to project manage the implementation of UDEX links into SAP for Trading and Marketing functions. I worked with technical implementation teams and business end users to ensure the delivered result supported business requirements.

Worked as an integral part of an IBM led project delivering new portal technology to 1400 Boots stores within the PRINCE 2 project management framework. My task was to integrate existing CMS processes and ensure stores continue to remain engaged with the technical project. I delivered user acceptance testing and training to employees, as well as managed.

During my tenure in this role, I led a group-wide intranet development project, effectively consolidating 7 different intranets. The project became a Winner of the ‘International Information Industry award for Best Intranet Project 2004’ and a Runner-Up of the ‘European Information Professional of the Year 2005’.

Working with many leading information providers, BIS provided in-depth research and developed new online information services for employees across the Group. Developed and led a team of 12 information professionals and responsible for £1m+ of information procurement.

In this role, I was responsible for all procurement of goods not-for-resale at Boots The Chemist during a period of considerable transition due to the implementation of group-wide SAP procurement processes and offshoring.

Dow Jones Factiva is a leading information supplier, combining 30k+ information sources to give researchers, students, professors and librarians access to premium content from 200 countries in 32 languages. I was part of their virtual International Board, helping to set a strategic direction for Factiva.

Following excellent feedback from participants as a Speaker at the Intranet Strategy conference in 2004, I was asked to return to chair the conference in 2005

I researched business information and assisted in the development of early Intranet across the Boots Group.
