I specialise in procurement and PPP projects for the public and private sectors. I have assisted on a wide range of major procurements, and recently I have helped lead numerous leisure outsourcing projects - acting for the private sector throughout the initial tender stages, through negotiation and dialogue, and at preferred bidder stage up to project completion.Projects I have worked on include - Strategic Partnerships, Shared Services and Outsourcing: • Private Leisure sector client – assisting with various PPP schemes in the leisure sector, as well as acting on various bids for PPP leisure contracts and outsourcing projects;• Assisting with advice to a local authority in relation to the procurement of a new contractor to maintain and operate the Council's leisure centres;• Assisting with the preparation of construction and project documents for a new UTC; and• Assisted on the initial phase of a project designed to deliver new housing opportunities in Sheffield. Utilising a Local Asset Backed Vehicle structure, the scheme intended to deliver affordable housing. Schools and Academies Projects • Assisting local authority clients with the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme, completing the project documents required for the delivery of one local authority's final 14 remaining BSF schools. I have also advise a local authority client on post-completion issues and Academy conversions relating to both their Grouped School PFI and BSF Schools. Public Sector Advisory• General procurement advice and assisting on a mediation process in relation to an existing waste contract;• Assisting with the preparation of suggested industry standard contracts and guidance in the leisure sector; Overseeing and leading on the update of these documents to reflect changes in legislation and to reflect change marking practices; and• Assisting with bespoke presentations and training sessions to public sector clients on public procurement and major contract issues. As well as running numerous networking events for junior professionals, we also organise an annual charity ball which raises over £9,000 for charity.
