About Hélène Picard
As an Associate Professor in the People Organizations and Societies Department, I teach topics related to Organizational Behaviour, Leadership, Gender and Inclusivity, Business Ethics, Well-Being at Work / Organizational Psychology, (Intercultural) Responsible Management, New Organizations and New Work Practices / Spaces.As a member of the AFMO (Alternative Forms of Markets and Organizations) and the Chair on Economic Peace, Well-Being and Mindfulness at Work, I develop research on emerging organizational innovations and their impact of employees' lived experience of work. I am also a member of the Chair on Inclusive Sustainability: Territorial Ecosystems in Transition, where I contribute to ongoing research on "territorial platforms", i.e. emergent hybrid spaces that aim to fulfill goals of social inclusivity and ecological transition. I am experienced in using in-depth Qualitative methods of inquiry, as well as drawing on critical social theories and psychoanalytical approaches to analyze the impacts of these new models.My current projects are focused on: > Developing a critical point of view on managerial "innovations" and alternatives: Liberation management (entreprises libérées), New spaces of work (third places), Caring management, Inclusion in alternative organizations, Embodied work, Affect-based organizations, and Critical Management Education; > Engaging with practitioners and people in society concerned by issues of well being at work, organizational innovations, social innovation and transition(s), in particular through my activities in GEM's Chair on Inclusive Sustainability and UNESC Chair for Economic Peace;> Opening new avenues of collaborations and new fieldwork on issues of ethical management, social business and alternatives, critical management education, care work...
