At the time, Books LIVE was a subdivision of Times Live and functioned as a content marketing agency for southern African writers and publishers. During my time there I was promoted from assistant to deputy editor and was given charge of all Afrikaans content. Tasks included blog writing, social media management and live reporting of events. The company has since been renamed to Sunday Times Books and functions mainly as the digital book page of the South African Sunday Times newspaper.

This was my first full-time employment after university. I was tasked with many responsibilities, including event management, general administration, editing, public relations and social media management. Naledi was, and remains, a small family-owned business and my time there demonstrated the value of being a jack of all trades in publishing.
