Helen Griff Chalier is a member of the Asbestos Litigation Practice Group where she concentrates her practice on the defense of claims made and suits brought against clients in toxic and mass tort matters. She also concentrates a portion of her practice in medical malpractice, premises liability, retail liability, hospitality, property litigation and intentional tort defense litigation.Helen is a graduate of New York University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Physical Therapy Certificate. She earned her juris doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey in 1998. She was also an associate member of the Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court for the 2000-2002 term.Prior to attending law school, Helen had been a physical therapist licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York. She maintained her private practice in physical therapy in Englewood, New Jersey, where she specialized in orthopedic dysfunction and sports related injuries. She was also editor-in-chief of Surgical Communications, Inc., a medical educational production company using video and print media for presentation of surgical procedures.Helen has contributed to book chapters in Nursing Malpractice, Second, Third and Fourth Editions, Editors: Iyer, et al. She has also prepared a seminar as faculty for NBI, Inc., in Analyzing Medical Records for the New Jersey Paralegal.She was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1998 and the New York Bar in 1999.
