Served clients who have a serious mental illness and are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. I conducted intake evaluations and six-month follow-up reevaluations, provide individual therapy, conduct group therapy (DBT, Suicide Attempt Survivor Group, 7 Challenges, Matrix Model). I received two hours of didactic training, two hours of individual and one hour of group supervision weekly. I supervised a master’s level extern and received supervision of that supervision. My three minor rotations included: Substance Use, Child Assessment, and Crisis Stabilization. During the Crisis Stabilization rotation I co-lead a team which redesigned and created curriculum for the inpatient group program. I continued to gain experience in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, operations, case managers, transportation staff, and other AspenPointe locations. I completed a consultation project: “Implementing Zero Suicide at AspenPointe.” It consisted of: - Identifying what went wrong in prior implementation of Zero Suicide (ZS)- Assessing current suicide prevention training- Distributing and analyzing the ZS Workforce Survey- Creating wallet size safety plans - Presenting and create a safety plan presentation to clinical employees and case managers - Giveing recommendations for organization-wide suicide prevention implementation with a focus on improving safety planning.
