Helen was Group Projects Manager at The Chapman Consulting Group, an executive search firm dedicated to the HR profession across the globe. Headquartered in Singapore, the company is best known as the leading firm for senior level HR search across APAC. Helen led multiple projects across The Chapman Consulting Group and their two sister companies: Beath Chapman and RMI. Key projects include facilitating cross-sales between The Chapman Consulting Group and Beath Chapman, evaluating the RMI business in order to grow both arms of the business, and financial modeling for ChapmanCG's move into Japan. Helen provided management reporting and financial support to the business, creating monthly P&L and Balance sheet reports, and producing bonus provisions as part of the budgeting process for 2014. Helen also created a suite of reports for weekly and quarterly management meetings. This involved managing the results matrix and forecast matrix for the company, capturing the effort undertaken by each consultant per search, and forecasting the billings for each quarter. Helen moved into the Finance department for two months to an interim position. During this time, she gained line management experience, managing our accounts assistant. People management is a key strength of Helen's , and one she is keen to develop further.

A considerable element of my role is concentrated on the Quarterly Portfolio Refresh Process; I manage the relationship with four key divisions in the bank and ensure collation of up to date project cost, benefit and P&L data.

Jun 10 – Mar 11: Fourth Placement; RBS Insurance, Direct Line Life FinanceResponsibilities included supporting the financial reporting of the business through the production of monthly, quarterly and regulatory reports. Role involved the analytical review of life insurance claims and the process of reinsurance recoveries. I supported senior management on a project which will release the value in the existing book of business.Jan 10 – Jun 10: Third Placement; Group Economics, Group CommunicationsThis placement provided unique insight into an area of the bank which was particularly significant given the economic climate. I contributed to the Chief Economist’s Weekly Brief, analysing areas such as Retail spending and Unemployment.June 09 – Jan 10: Second Placement; Retail, Wealth and Ulster Finance, Product ProfitabilityThis team offered the unique opportunity to influence the future profitability of retail mortgage product offerings, considering the overall lifetime return of a product using financial modelling techniques to quantify benefits. I made pricing decisions using Financial Modelling techniques to examine product NPV’s and return on equity.. I also assisted in the end-to-end allocation of manufacturing costs across mortgages.Sept 08 – June 09: First Placement; Retail Finance, Financial Planning and Reporting During my time in the team I developed a month-end pack, providing an “at a glance” view of all central areas of the division, in addition to analysing Travel and Exceptions Reports on a monthly basis.
