I am a recent graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where I earned a BFA in Film Production, summa cum laude, with an emphasis in Production Design, as well as a minor in History. I am eager to bring my creative visions and technical expertise to a professional art department in the film and television industry.Throughout my academic and professional career, I have designed, built, and decorated sets for student films and independent productions. I have an eye for detail and am committed to achieving the visual goals of the films I work on. My coursework at Chapman included extensive training in set design, both by hand and in digital programs, and visualization of those designs in digital 3D models, handmade scale models, and perspective drawings.In addition my coursework, I gained practical set experience through my leadership roles on three stage builds, for which I designed, drafted, and constructed sets on Chapman’s soundstages. I also decorated sets on location, ensuring smooth and efficient transformations of these locations. I have a strong work ethic and easily take on many responsibilities, while demonstrating strong creative problem-solving skills and fostering a positive atmosphere among my peers.My passion for history and travel, reflected in my history minor and semester abroad, deeply influences my design process and stylistic interests. My design experience spans various time periods and settings, including 1850s California, 1920s German Expressionism, 18th century England, and 20th century America. Each of my projects involves meticulous research and selection of color palettes, props, fabrics, architecture styles, furniture, set dressings, costumes, and graphic design styles to create visually stunning, historically accurate settings that first and foremost help to tell a story in an authentic way.
