Transformation Business Partner for £150m digital transformation program spanning 50+ projects to transform digital services. Lead monthly spend review monitoring performance against budget to senior Finance management and Head of Transformation, providing commentary, analysis, and insight into variances. Reporting of latest forecast into government department; shaping the ask for future funding for both capital spend and resource spend. Continuous development of monthly forecasting process working with lead delivery managers and PMO to build forecasts input by delivery managers flowing through to finance schedules. Implemented monthly cost packs to present at budget meetings to enhance information for decision making and challenge costs.Build and implemented invoice accrual reconciliation for resource spend, ensuring robust controls. Mapped process flows to GL; presented to FD explaining issues and resolution.All processes and procedures documented; robust controls introduced.Providing technical advice on IAS 38 capitalisation of intangible assets in agile project environment.

Managing the Accounts Payable and Banking Team (1 direct report, extended team of 3).Meeting daily with external auditors to deliver year end PBC list. Hitting the ground running to co-ordinate successful year end joining 2 weeks prior.Answering queries from FC and CFO on accounts. Presenting hedge accounting workshop to Board.Managing month end reporting cycle across Finance team, coordinating tasks and delivering to FC, CFO on time. Running Fixed Asset Register and depreciation, EIR, hedge accounting.

Working directly for the Head of Finance Operations I was tasked with developing Financial Control KPIs and a new reporting pack to feed into new Financial Control Committee (FCC) chaired by the Group Financial Controller. Ensuring monthly that heads of areas across Finance and Treasury submitted information into the pack.Together with 1 direct report, the team co-ordinated the tracking of monthly controls across Finance and Treasury ensuring that monthly controls were signed off. Also co-ordinated balance sheet substantiation reporting, suspense and bank rec reporting and reporting of these into FCG.Supporting the compliance of operational risk and governance requirements such as RCSAs and GDPR across Finance and Treasury working Operational Risk, Risk Assurance and Internal Audit. Understanding operational risk policies and practices; supporting the Finance function in adherence to these. Collaboration with CYBG to roll out integrated bank policies.

Project role developing and coordinating a 12-month continuous improvements project across Finance, Treasury and Business Intelligence. Responsible for design, co-ordination, and delivery of reporting of improvements to senior management. Thinking innovatively to develop a program of learning sessions and workshops across Finance and Treasury, tapping into the Agile working teams at VM to inspire and unlock ideas for improvements across teams. Completed Lean Six Sigma Course to share ideas for best practice.Nominated for accounting award for best innovation project at a National Accounting Awards level.

Maternity Cover Lead Group Reporting’s ARA back half reporting processes, production of financial statements and notes to the accounts for Group, Bank and Subsids, ensuring year end deadlines are met and accounts sent to FD, FC and other stakeholders on time.Presenting Accounts and Analytical Review to FC and FD, explaining trends, variances and turning around all queries promptly.Manage monthly and quarterly reporting and consolidation processes across Newcastle and Edinburgh sites with a team of 3 accountants and wider team of 3 cost accountants

Support for projects across Finance. Designing, rolling out and embedding Balance Sheet Substantiation process across Finance. Working with Treasury Finance to design Treasury system to Oracle requirements, support go live plus other ad hoc projects.
