Real Time is a niche technology support company (~20 staff) supporting over 3000 end users on multiple client sites and branches primarily in the travel industry.Projects range from simple POP to 365 migrations, to full-blown Cluster implementations (but in Azure and hybrid on-prem). Real Tie is a very flat company and staff get pulled into whatever team they are needed on as and when.

Thompsons is one of the biggest tour operators in Southern Africa. Started with some business intelligence harvesting legacy data into daily reports for stats. Ended up as the IT Manager during a time when the company was taking bookings from the phone to online.

Part of a cutting-edge development team building and trading for a synthetic enhanced portfolio system. Involved forecasting and trading to put portfolios in place for clients monthly with futures and ccy trades. Great for clients whose money was trapped (e.g. supermarkets with cash in tills).

TCAM built and supplied trading and systems to stock markets and the big banks. Originally based out of the US, I joined the UK arm in 1987 and installed Gilts and Equities market making systems at many of the major banks in London during the big bang era. Some international sales experience too - carting magtapes for demos - those were the days!

Started with Logica UK straight from Uni working on an Equities market making system in PL/1. Graduate Trainee and developer for Phillips and Drew (UBS) in preparation for Big Bang. Later part of team working to add Traded Options. Steep but exciting learning curve in the financial markets.
