CurrentOver 32 years of experience in a busy, varied and constantly evolving environment. I began as a sales advisor in womenswear and lingerie before progressing to a selling and merchandising supervisor. Career further developed into operational and commercial roles including auditing, stock control, staff management and strategy.Key responsibilities• Ensuring that the day-to-day operation of stock and associated staffing is efficient and effective, with the main aim of bringing in the maximum profit possible.• Working with the store senior management to understand business needs, compile strategies and flag opportunities.• Control of yearly stocktakes; including pre visits, planning and preparation from plans of the floors, accurate numbering of fixtures and fittings, and coordinating the stocktake with staff for checks on the day. • Working with external suppliers and contractors on promotions, launching new departments, ranges and time specific launches.• Manage stockrooms and controls, stock file accuracy and option availability, maintain audit controls, and ensure accurate and timely processing of deliveries in and out including inter/outer store transfers.• Ensuring the team/s are following all relevant procedures, trained in new and improved processes and health and safety protocols.• Dealing with all monetary aspects of the store takings. This included preparing the tills for opening, audit control and cashing up. Reporting any discrepancies to the store manager.• Keyholder to store, with associated responsibilities for safety and security. Personal alcohol licence holder to allow for sales in store.• Completed weekly schedules according to payroll policies.
