Responsibilities:I was responsible for internal and external events within the Group as well as all marketing for Pathmeads Housing Association (a subsidiary of Genesis). I had financial accountability for budgets and my role was all encompassing to include producing print collateral, contracting with suppliers, preparing speech notes for dignitaries and media buying. Achievements:Events Manager for a range of high profile public relations events including the opening of ‘Factory Quarter’ housing development, one of the largest in Europe.Marketing Manager for the Genesis Group restructure. This involved extensive consultation with all residents (40,000 households) and staff (1700) in order to obtain feedback on the proposal. I had sole responsibility for design, copy, promotion, and translation of all documents as well as coordination and analysis of feedback. Feedback levels were the highest of any housing association to have gone through such a change.Increased Pathmeads’ landlord enquiries tenfold through a comprehensive advertising campaign on local radio and other media. Receiver of the Genesis Outstanding Achiever of the Year award for managing this campaign.Successfully held the first ever All Staff Conference for over 1700 delegates helping the Chief Executive to engage from the top down.

Responsibilities:I was solely responsible for organising all corporate alumni events ranging from intimate dinners for Senior Partners to large drinks receptions. In addition I had onsite logistical responsibility for a variety of PwC internal conferences.Achievements:Significantly increased alumni engagement via the events programme. Through my tangible results Senior Partners acknowledged the business benefits of a successful event, resulting in a need to hire an assistant to help with the increase in demand for new projects.Liaised directly with Senior Partners to write business cases ensuring events gave a return on investment. For the annual financial services event more guests attended than had ever done so previously.Onsite management for the annual Partner conference held in Spain. This involved six back to back conferences held over a three week period. As well as organising the delegate sessions I was responsible for corporate hospitality and transportation.Lead the alumni brand refresh to be more in line with corporate objectives.Ensured alumni data was clean and relevant. Alumni then only received the most relevant mailings which reduced complaints by 8% and improved Partner engagement.

Responsibilities:I was responsible for the annual programme of seminars, lectures, conferences and awards dinners primarily in the fields of manufacturing, management and consultancy.Achievements:Organised the flagship Manufacturing Excellence Awards including briefing speakers (the Rt Hon William Hague MP), booking entertainment, preparing a seating plan for 600 guests and tendering for the AV company. Managed 25-35 annual events, ranging from one to four days in length and attracting up to 250 delegates. Sold exhibition space to Sponsors and Partners, enabling event surpluses to be ploughed back into the organisation.Ran the most successful ‘Essential Management Skills for Engineers’ conference. This resulted in my putting together a business case to franchise the project which was accepted. I then ran a programme of events throughout the UK.Promoted from Events Assistant to Events Executive within nine months of joining IMechE, the youngest Executive to have been appointed.
