I founded the initiative of PropertyAngels.Life to recognise the pressing need to increase the supply of adequate rental accommodation into the UK property market.While the UK property sector is one of the most stable markets to invest in, it is suppressed by the ever-changing and counteractive regulatory and economic landscape.Property developers have limited access to private funding options to help them proceed quickly and cost-effectively. For Angel Investors with appetite to lend into supporting property sector developments, there is a lack of accessible impartial information, preventing the confidence needed to proceed.Ethical borrowing also comes to mind, as too many investments are made where they shouldn't be. As a co-founder and significant shareholder in the prop-tech, COHO, in my role as CCO, I have contributed several years to the software becoming the 'one of choice’, helping it to excel in optimising property management and tenant experiences for properties ready to let. I now feel a pressing need to help accelerate the delivery of more rental properties onto the market!Being deeply immersed in the property sector, and from creating the spectacular HMO Awards & Summit, the sector’s largest annual gathering of multiple occupancy property professionals, I have nourished a well established network of the more progressive property developer and industry thought-leading contacts.We must tackle the rental supply gap collectively by empowering property developers to do their best work."I believe in the forces of collaboration.
