I love to solve (and write about solving) complex marketing procurement problems. I draw on almost 20 years' experience, primarily in pharma marketing procurement and marketing operations roles. I love to explore the cross-functional boundaries between marketing operations, procurement, and finance to build collaborative, trust-based, mutually-beneficial and long-lasting partnerships.With my consultant hat on, I'm the owner of Helen Thompson Consulting, a small independent consultancy working with life sciences companies, their agencies and production partners. We take a data-driven approach to help clients and their partners evaluate the rationale for strategic decisions in agencies and production models. With my freelance journalist hat on, I write about a range of topics for Marketing Procurement iQ magazine, covering interviews with agency and marketing procurement leaders, reporting on industry events and sharing insights from reports and white papers.On a personal note, I'm also a Swiftie, a late diagnosed ADHDer and a taker of #DaftSelfies!
