Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with focus on Wine Production Systems from Stellenbosch University. I love working in a hands-on environment and I am not afraid of working hard. The more I can work with wine, the happier I am.Viognier, Cabernet franc, Grenache, Barbera and Gewurztraminer are probably some of my favorite varietals to work with, but I've been working with Rhone and Bordeaux varietals throughout my winemaking career. At Altydgedacht my Barbera, Gewurztraminer and Blanc de blancs became extremely popular over a very short period. The Barbera especially became highly sought after and we were on the cusp of becoming the leading Barbera producer in South Africa.
