I have worked around web development for over 20 years mainly working in PHP, Javascript, React, NodeJS and a little bit in Java. I have worked in all the major CMS systems like Wordpress/Woocommerce, Drupal, Ghost CMS and I have managed, hosted and run web sites in those systems on various platforms. I have also worked on sites in systems like Magento, Wix and Shopify as well.I have a good solid experience in MySQL/MariaDB databases and working with large datasets. I have been exploring other DB technologies like MongoDB/NoSQL and a little bit in GraphQL.I can work on all the major operating systems like Windows, MacOS and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS and Red Hat) and I have worked on all of them through the years but I prefer to work on the MacOS/Linux environment.I have been heavily involved in Icelandic ice hockey for over 30 years as a player, coach, national team coach, referee, board member in one of the clubs in Iceland and now I am on my second term as the President of Ice Hockey Iceland. I also sit on the board of the sports club Ösp that specializes in sports for people with disabilities.My main interests are software development, the internet, ice hockey, driving motorcycles and cooking.
