Assisting the cultural department in their work related to the planning of a large art in public space project, in connection to the city jubilee in 2025.The area: Våland, Våland forest, and the culvert towards Mosvannet.The tasks: collect relevant information, data and maps for the area; contribute to area analysis, site studies; navigate and translate between art project, urban planning data and cultural department strategies.The deliverables: continuous contribution with data and information. Participation in meetings as agreed with SK.

Rogaland Kunstsenter will, in the internship period, be engaged in a project called “Folkegata!”. This project aims at establishing cultural meeting places for the local community as well as positioning ourselves as a relevant and welcoming creative and critical hub in the city of Stavanger. The intention is to map the resources of the area and to explore the role of art and the arts space in supporting local democracy and social cohesion in the community and widening opportunities for participants.In addition, RKS is preparing for an upcoming building renovation of the building, which includes labor-intensive tasks such as sorting and cleaning the library and floor space.
