The position of Category Manager incorporates the following key areas: - Leading the development and execution of the category strategy in short- and long-term perspective across operating countries to maximize category results and achieve the objectives of the company- Creating an assortment within product category to match the customer profile in various relevant aspects- Developing an effective sales and marketing strategy for the category and negotiating marketing terms with partners- Negotiating with existing and potential new partners in order to achieve profitable conditions in all aspects of co-operation (including product pricing and shipment agreements)- Analyzing the general as well business unit based results of the category considering internal and external influences and changes in micro and macro environment- Examining the market situation regularly and adapting overall category management strategy according to changes in the market

As an assistant advertising manager, my main responsibility was to organize all visual materials which were needed for different marketing outputs (print,web). My tasks also included communication with our co-operation partners and different kinds of planning with regards to advertising space.

My main responsibilities as an assistant category manager included analyzing different product groups within the category, measuring the effectiveness of the sales campaigns, planning internet marketing activities and developing ideas and potential changes for the category assortment.
