About Helios Loo

As a multimedia designer specialising in visual communication and digital media, Helios started his career as a photographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality and creative works to meet client's needs. He has since accumulated 15 years of experience in photography, specialising in lifestyle, portraiture and virtual reality interactive content, with successful practice in managing the workflow, processes, and technology necessary to provide production efficiencies and quality visual communication operations. As an experienced photographer, his works as a contributing photographer for the Corbis Corporation are published in over 20 countries. The desire to make a difference leads to undertaking challenges in education as a lecturer at The One Academy. He reconstructed and implemented syllabus based on criteria set by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, and redesigned the photography course structure with emphasis on multimedia application. Though a photographer by trade, a natural inquisitiveness propelled Helios into the domain of applied fields of multimedia design. The founding of Helio Media in 2011 merged his experience in multimedia and technology with that of the local outdoor display scene. With past experience in multimedia interactive installation, electronics and programming, he supervised the process of integration of the different elements in media display application. A keenness to explore new interactive options and techniques to meet both the needs of user experience and client's expectation, resulted in his progression into project management.
