I love selling tickets to great events. I hate selling myself. Here are 5 key takeaways to me. 1. I own Showdown Productions, an event management and production company that is nearing it's 10 year anniversary in 2023. Together with my business partner Raymond Flores we have done hundreds of different events in the Anchorage and Fairbanks area. We have successfully raised the bar for concert production in the state of Alaska and continue to do so. 2. I love event management. I have managed thousands of different events in the span of my fifteen year career in the industry. From sold-out heavy metal concerts to informational conventions I have been able to experience and guide an event to its greatest potential no matter the setting. 3. I am a business manager for Year One Films. Year One Films is a documentary company currently filming our first episodic series that centers on Anchorage, Alaska Junior Hockey. Together with Hybrid Color we look to push the envelope on sports documentaries and take our unique story to a national platform. 4. Showdown Alaska has launched its first festival. We are currently building destination festivals in the Anchorage, Alaska area with key travel partners in the tourism industry. It is our goal to increase music tourism, increase the amount of millennial/gen z self guided travelers and build more interest in the Anchorage area on a national platform. 5. Leadership is solving problems. I truly believe in situational leadership and management. I excel at building community connection and linking like minded individuals to create larger potentials. In my time at any company it is my goal to look less like a boss and more like a partner.
