I am an arts and culture advocate. I graduated from Evergreen with an emphasis in sculpture and interdisciplinary learning, and taught at Evergreen for two years as an instructor in studio sculpture. I’ve been a fine art gallery Curator for emerging artists and my Exhibits work has taken me to museums across the country. The bulk of my museum work has been developing and producing immersive museum exhibits that more authentically represent communities and better engage visitors.Incorporating the perspectives of underrepresented communities in museums is long overdue and I am inspired by the exciting work being done in the Arts and Culture sector to make it happen. I am grateful to know so many thought partners across the industry who have helped me learn and continue to learn how we can do better by our visitors and the communities we represent. In my role as Director of Exhibits and Operations at the Museum of Us, I’ve work to develop strategies for community partnerships, visitor experience and engagement, and contribute to our decolonization efforts.
