Communications Manager
CurrentI steered the organization's communications from a part-time, tasks-based role and mindset to a strategic, multifaceted, and indispensable business function.Summary of responsibilities- Manage the Foundation’s brand to grow our reputation, awareness, affinity, and integrity; one early achievement was leading a collaborative process with Board and staff to develop the organization’s vision, mission, approach (values), and tagline.- Direct all aspects of the organization’s internal and external communications, including developing strategic and tactical priorities, comprehensive plans and budgets, and reports to the Board.- Develop and execute communications plans for announcements, calls for applications, calls for nominations, report launches, and other initiatives.- Conceptualize, write/produce, and manage all creative and editorial content and properties, including annual report, website, newsletter, social media, and media.- Lead special high-profile, high-stakes projects, such as the Foundation's 50th anniversary campaign and as the internal lead of our 2024-2029 strategic plan through a highly consultative development process with external consultants, advisory committee, and stakeholders.- Was a co-founder of the organization’s first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, which plans and promotes employee participation and learning.The Law Foundation of Ontario has been advancing access to justice since 1974.
