I have been a University lecturer for Linguistics and Social Science, English and German teacher, translator (mostly English - German), copy editor, proofreader, and creative writer for more than 20 years. As a German native speaker, linguist, book editor, proofreader, and supervisor of students' theses I have a profound knowledge in the use of the German language concerning phonetics, orthography, grammar, syntax, and punctuation as well as I am talented regarding expression, style and phrasing. A good translation has to capture the meaning, so finding the corresponding expressions in German considering the context of the cultural background and the target audience is essential. A translation is good if it is "invisible", meaning it shouldn't be obvious that the text has been translated - thus, an edited and proofread text will sound genuine German.As a social and economic/market researcher I have been dealing with quantitative and qualitative empirical basic and applied research, customer-relationship-management, market research surveys, monitoring and evaluation, and statistical data analysis (i. e. designing survey methodology and sample frame, supervising field work, data collection, data entry and analysis, transcription of interviews and group discussions, content analysis, writing reports).
