Living near Oxford Centre, Ontario, my life has been shaped by a balance of family, work, and a commitment to renewable energy. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that align with my values, starting with the Oxford Community Energy Co-op (OCEC), where I was one of the incorporating directors. My role in the Co-op allowed me to help shape its direction and support its goal of advancing community-owned renewable energy.The Co-op has been a strong example of what can be achieved when a community comes together. We’ve successfully turned over $10 million in local investments into nearly $80 million worth of wind and solar developments, making us the largest renewable energy producer in Oxford County. Beyond that, we focus on keeping members and investors engaged while continuing to support the growth of green energy in Ontario.My professional journey has supported these efforts. After earning an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business with a focus on strategy, operations, and corporate governance, I worked in quality assurance, project management, and staff leadership. As the Quality Assurance Manager at GM Canada’s CAMI Assembly in Ingersoll, I gained valuable experience that prepared me for my current role as Vice President of Prowind Canada Inc., which I’ve held since 2016. At Prowind, I’ve worked with a skilled team to develop and manage renewable energy projects in Ontario, Canada, and the U.S., combining my passion for sustainability with a fulfilling career.Outside of work, family is a central part of my life. My wife, four children, their partners, and ten grandchildren are a source of pride and motivation. I also enjoy music, skiing, and volleyball—activities that provide balance and help me stay active.Renewable energy is not just a career for me; it’s a way to contribute to a sustainable future. Working with the Co-op and Prowind has been rewarding, not just for the projects themselves but for the opportunity to engage with my community and make a tangible impact. And while my work keeps me focused on the future, my family reminds me of the importance of the present.
