This experience has been both fulfilling and informative, giving me practical knowledge in the realm of diagnostic techniques and testing. During my tenure at MediTek Laboratory, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team of skilled individuals who are committed to enhancing healthcare through precise and accurate diagnostic services. I was actively involved in numerous parts of laboratory work, particularly in the following areas:Blood Testing:I learned and performed various blood tests, including Complete Blood Count (CBC), blood glucose testing, lipid profiles, and coagulation tests. This taught me the value of blood analysis in identifying and monitoring a variety of medical issues.Liver Function Tests: I acquired firsthand experience doing liver function tests (LFTs), which are critical for evaluating liver health. I became skilled at monitoring enzymes, proteins, and chemicals produced or expelled by the liver, such as ALT, AST, bilirubin, and albumin. This knowledge is critical for detecting liver disease and assessing treatment efficacy.Kidney Function Tests: My internship also included doing kidney function tests (KFTs) to assess renal health. I learned how to test serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and glomerular filtration rate (GFR). These tests are critical for diagnosing renal diseases and implementing relevant medical therapies.During my internship, I refined my skills in laboratory methods such as sample handling and analysis. I also learned how to use advanced diagnostic equipment and software to ensure that test findings were accurate and dependable. Furthermore, I gained a thorough awareness of laboratory safety precautions and quality control procedures.
