Mailia Oy has grown quickly and nowadays it is a group of companies. I also belong to the board of directors in the following companies: Mailia Group Oy, Mailia Pro Oy and Benevan Oy.

I run a company for executing projects, consulting or interim management. I am especially interested in projects concerning a significant need of transformation and/or business development.

I led the company through a major transformation and reorganization, as the taxi industry in Finland had its biggest change in recent history.

I executed a six months project concerning PostNord Oy´s growth. I familiarized myself and grew my expertise with logistic processes, especially with eCommerce and its supply chain management.

Alma Manu Oy belongs to Alma Media Corporation and it is specialized in newspaper printing and delivery operations. Its annual turnover is about 70 million euros and it employs 1.100 persons. Alma Manu was founded in 2010 and its target was to be prepared to the centralization of newspaper printing in Finland and to the competition of the postal services.Alma Manu's printing site in Tampere is the second biggest newspaper press in Finland. Alma Manu is also the second biggest distribution operator in Finland.I was in charge of a project aimed at planning, constructing and implementing a new printing facility for Alma Manu, starting from the blueprint stage. The total investment was 70 million euros. Investigation of printing solutions started in 2007, the investment decision was made in March 2010 and the operations started in January 2013.I was in charge of the printing material agreements. To increase our bargaining potential I took part in founding a purchasing group together with two regional media groups, Ilkka Group and Keskisuomalainen Corporation. In 2014 the printing presses of Kaleva and Lehtiyhtymä joined the group. Membership in the group has saved the companies several hundreds of thousands euros annually.I was responsible for ensuring competiveness and effectiveness of the delivery operations. Alma Manu operates in delivery business itself but it also purchases services from other operators. New products and services have lowered the unit cost. Alma Manu got the postal license in 2014 and presently it has the right to deliver addressed post.Under my leadership, Alma Manu reached all its strategic goals. Alma Manu’s external sales have increased as planned and it has compensated for the loss in the publishing income.

Before my time, the leadership and workers had a grave disagreement over the working shift system that was considered unjust. I launched a development program in the working community and we found a consensus in the matter. The operations stabilized, printing quality improved and we managed to decrease the printing paper waste rate to a record low level. The value of the paper savings was about 200,000 euros per year. As a proof of the excellent printing quality we awarded the membership in Color Quality Club of WAN-IFRA, World Association of the Newspapers and News Publishers in 2010. I had the responsibility of the cooperation between Alma Media's business units concerning printing matters. I was also in charge of the printing material purchases.

I executed a one million euro saving program in Aamulehti's distribution. At the same time we improved job satisfaction by creating delivery teams, reforming the work shift system and modernizing working methods. The share of the satisfied employees increased by 30% although many deliverers suffered from the loss of their personal income.We standardized newspaper delivery services to ensure fair and equal terms to our customers. We also developed extra services which brought additional turnover.

I was in charge of the department accommodating newspaper's ad production, advertiser's and subscribers' customer services and system development supporting the functions.
