Worked in Heavy Engineering Corporation LTD (HEC) ,a GOVT. of INDIA CO . Ranchi in 1975 , in different capacities as designer , group leader ,gear bureau chief and Head of design departmentExperience : Worked in design deptt for 39 years . Involved in design/drawing development of Gear Boxes and gearing items ., units of EOT crane with specialization in design of Gear Boxes and gearing items , I have very long experience of gear design . I have designed gear boxes from few kg to 56 tons by wt. . Design work included gear design calculations , tooth profile calculation , bearing selection ,crane drive calculations , preparation of assembly/detail manufacturing drawings . The drawings included , material , heat treatment requirements, machining and welding requirements , fits and tolerances , gear cutting table and other technical requirements .Checking of design/drawing of assly/detail drawings , calculations etc done by other designers . Design work included spur gear , helical gear , internal gears , bevel gear , spiral bevel gear , worm gear , planetary gear , girth gear, rack and pinion, gear coupling etc .These included profile correction requirement due to lower no of teeth , fixed centre distance .These included reverse engineering of gearing items .These included material selection w.r.t. tooth root bending stress , tooth surface stress and life . These included close co ordination with gear cutting technology department and gear manufacturing shop , fabrication shop all located in same campus ,Inspection deptt. , marketing deptt. , purchase deptt. Site erecton and commissioning .Well versed with Auto Cad , MS office .Designed gear boxes and gearing items were used in various steel plant eqpt , cement plant eqpt. , mining eqpt , EOT cranes upto 450 Ton capacity and other Eqpt.. .
