I was deputed as a DeltaV site commissioning Lead Engineer at Shell Pennsylvania Chemicals Plant, a world class Ethylene Cracker Plant located in USA.The crucial part of site commissioning was to work on SIMOPs. In this stage, meticulous work processes were required to be devised and followed for supporting simultaneous commission activities along with plant startup operations.My Job role involved following key activities:• An Overall Emerson Technical Lead for SIS and FGS system• Software and Hardware Cabinet SAT Support• Manage and Implement DeltaV configuration changes• SIMOPS mechanismDevelop Control Modules Transfer AnalysisUtility• IO Loop checks• DeltaV AMS - IO HART configuration and troubleshooting• Commissioning and Start-up support on for complex logic likeECU Furnace Sequences, Extruder Sequences, HRSG sequence

I was an overall Pillar Lead for Ethylene Cracker Unit in Shell Pennsylvania Chemicals Project. I lead the DeltaV project execution, in Pune. This was followed by FAT and the Virtual Start-up and Commissioning (VCSU) activities in Houston. VCSU is the last stage of inhouse configuration validation before site commissioning. In this phase DCS configuration is connected to a high-fidelity process simulation Model and tested against process conditions. The project is distributed into 4 pillars units. The peak resource count for ECU was 21 BPCS and 9 SIS engineers. Overall IO count is around 8000 BPCS, 4000 SIS and 3500 Modbus.During this phase I was responsible for:• Lead VCSU activities• Lead FAT activates• Prepare FAT schedule• Create weekly Progress Reports• Project scoping / hours estimation• Propose new library templates• Review project documentation• Technical Query clarification• Configure complex requirement on Furnace Sequences• Coaching peers and teammates• Review Customers Inputs• Develop Safety Verification Plan

I worked on BP Shah Deniz 2 Onshore Project which is an Oil and Gas Project executed in UK and site installation is Baku, Azerbaijan. This was a part of BP Program that consisted of 3 projects (Onshore, Offshore and Subsea) with overall value of GB £26.9M. Overall SIS IOs were around 8000. I was responsible for following key activities:• Conduct Front End Engineering and Design (FEED)• Develop custom Report HMI for Shelved/Masked Alarms.These custom utility HMIs are operational on site and werealso referred in other projects.• Manage Modpack Changes• Review SIS complex logic like BMS• Represent Emerson during Functional Safety Auditsconducted by end customer• Develop, review and maintain project documentation.• Conduct Functionality walkthroughs for Customers• Hours Estimation and Scheduling

During this period, I worked on Front End Engineering Design for SIS and F&G configuration and DeltaV Live based HMI library on Chevron’s Anchor Oil & Gas. The project was being Engineered by Wood PLC.

I have had worked on various Process Shutdown (PSD) and Fire & Gas (FGS) projects for ExonMobil Kearl Oil Sands, Perpstorp Monomer, Sun Alomer, BP Chirag Oils

Started my journey in Distributed Control Systems at Emerson. Got inducted into Emerson’s standardization team.Worked to develop and maintain Emerson’s global engineering library (PBL/PCSD) compatible for various DeltaV versions from V8.4 to v13.3
