Financial Controller
Financial Management Responsibilities1. Oversight and Governance:o Manage all financial and accounting activities, including accounting, taxation, compliance, and plant accounting.o Ensure adherence to group accounting policies and internal controls.o Handle audits (IGAAP, tax, group audits) and ensure compliance with legal requirements.2. Financial Strategy and Planning:o Develop and implement financial strategies to minimize costs, manage exchange fluctuations, and ensure timely interest payments.o Drive financial performance through value-creating guidance and establish financial targets/KPIs in collaboration with plants.o Oversee cash management, working capital optimization, and budget development.3. Operational and Project Management:o Validate and support plant projects, lean initiatives, and capital expenditures, ensuring profitability and effective investment execution.o Negotiate with buyers and approve pricing/payment terms to maximize realizations.o Analyze and monitor budget vs. actual performance, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.4. Stakeholder and Risk Management:o Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure proper tracking of material handling, including scrap and storage.o Identify financial and operational risks, communicating them to management to support informed decision-making.o Establish best governance practices and ensure internal control environment is strong and compliant.5. Compliance and Reporting:o Ensure compliance with various audits, tax regulations (Direct and Indirect taxes), and financial reporting standards.o Handle due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and manage income tax assessments.6. Operational Excellence:o Validate lean projects and explore lean opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.o Monitor policy adherence and implement plant-level controls for company policies and procedures.
