• Executing Vendor Development, Tendering, Negotiation, Contract Awarding & Post Contract Administration for 2x600 MW Thermal Power Project of DB Power Limited at Chhattisgarh• Managing the overall procurement operations and enhancing the operational efficiency by eliminating obsolescence and achieving cost reduction through vendor development, curbing rework & rejection, materials management and inventory control • Streamlining department processes and procedures; reducing the purchase requisition turnaround time and timely issue of Purchase Orders (POs) • Sending request for quotations & selecting source for effective procurement in terms of quality & cost • Preparing plan, scheduling of required materials according to monthly / quarterly plan; negotiating price and terms of products with suppliers, timely ordering materials with estimated cost to competent supplier in terms of effective procurement• Reviewing all contracts/agreements to achieve ‘best price/ best quality’ purchasing, adhering to all company policies with particulars regard to accounting procedures• Executing planning and budgeting of purchase functions, involving cost estimation and contract negotiations• Preparation of Note for management approval & issuing SAP Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with the selected vendors, price & technical specifications• Monitoring / Ensuring timely delivery of the material or completion of work as per requirement and ensuring timely payments to vendors.• Experience in finalization of EPC contract, LSTK contract, Cost plus contract etc.• Closure of contracts including resolution of conflicts, if any• Building and maintaining vendor/supplier relations; evaluating vendors, managing buyer processes and analyzing reports

• Responsible for complete procurement cycle for placing various consultancy contracts.• Worked on the e-auction and provided training to several vendors• Generated various MIS reports for co-ordination / representation of procurement status to be used within Procurement Group and during weekly progress review meeting of Ultra Mega Power Projects.• Monitored and analyzed the construction activity of projects by coordinating with other company verticals - Business Development, Project Finance, Project Management, and Site for effective completion of projects.• Reviewed the corrective actions for actual performance of procurement group • Shouldering responsibilities related to Vendor Database Management• Analyzed the price trend in metals through Bloomberg terminal and provided monthly report on metal-price fluctuations for Aluminium, Steel, and Copper etc.
