Project Description:The "Design and Development of LLC Resonant Half-Bridge Converter" project involved the design and implementation of an LLC resonant half-bridge converter, which is a popular topology known for its high efficiency, low EMI emissions, and the ability to achieve high power density. The project aimed to regulate the output for a wide input range and load variations while minimizing switching losses by operating at Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) over the entire operating range.Key Points:LLC Resonant Half-Bridge Converter: The project focused on the LLC resonant half-bridge converter topology, comprising two inductors (LL) and a capacitor (C). This topology offers advantages like high efficiency, low EMI emissions, and compact design, making it suitable for various applications.ZVS Operation: The converter was designed to operate at Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) to reduce switching losses, enhance overall efficiency, and improve the system's reliability.Simulation and Analysis: The switching losses and conduction losses were thoroughly analyzed using mathematical calculations. Software simulations were conducted in MATLAB Simulink to validate the authenticity of the calculations.Experimental Validation: The designed LLC resonant half-bridge converter was tested in a laboratory setup, and experimental results were obtained.
