- Led a global team of software developers, architects, test engineers and DevOps engineers to architect, design, develop, test and continuously deliver features for Oracle NoSQL Database. Select features include Sequence Generator, Point in Time Recovery, Backup and Restore, metadata scalability, Streams API, Zone Affinity, Recover a Shard, Out-of-disk space monitoring, and converting the product to Apache 2.0 license - Took complete ownership of the quarterly on-premise product releases and instituted an Agile inspired development and test process that consistently improved the release predictability. Created a backlog of requirements working with clients such as Airbus, Orange Telecom turning them to technical features for the engineering teams to develop. - Integrated the Oracle NoSQL DB with the Oracle Data Visualization (ODV) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and created a demo that was presented at the Oracle Open World, 2016 that showed the ODV and OBIEE using data from three disparate data source RDBMS, NoSQL and Excel Datasheet.- Helped external and internal customers to expand their systems to meet their growing capacity needs. Highlight: expanded a 6-node homogeneous cluster to a 16-node heterogeneous Oracle NoSQL Database cluster over a weekend with zero downtime. The expansion involved 260 TB of data across 64 shards and 1115 partitions.

Grew the Aster, Teradata’s analytics platform engineering team by 40% hiring top talent in a highly competitive market and assimilated the new members into the team by creating a mentoring program that made them productive within 3 months. Brought structure, visibility and stability to a high performing small remote team by defining roles and responsibilities and created a solid pipeline of features for all the upcoming product releases. Lead the team to architect, design and deliver two complex features 1. complex data node expansion and data distribution features for the Aster on Hadoop and 2. Integrating the Aster Database to the Apache Spark as an external engine to make use of Spark functions for analytics.

Program managed the incubation and commercial launch of an enterprise-class database engine called Trafodion, as an open source project (4.3 million lines of code) for Hadoop for Hewlett Packard(HP) Labs. This was a pan-HP initiative involving a multi-functional team of 110 people across 30 groups in various business units ranging from product, engineering, legal & license, business development, branding and marketing. Secured and led proof-of-concept showcasing the value proposition of Trafodion. Trafodion went on to become an Apache project and a startup that released the enterprise editions that acquired more than 50 customers globally, including three Fortune 100 enterprises and achieved milestones of $22M annual revenue, $210M series B fundraising valuation.

Architected solutions for Nonstop Database Products, Mission Critical Systems in response to customer (Rabobank, JPMorgan, Dell, ..) needs. Oversaw the architecture for all features for product architectural fit. Planned and executed individual projects with a 8-45-member global team.Collaborated with product management, program manager, and engineering managers to define scope, write technical requirements and assemble project teams.
