Strategic assessment specialist and peer review expert providing independent evaluation and program review services to support S&T research, innovation, and technology-based economic development initiatives. I provide strategic planning, merit review, and program assessment services to universities, research consortia, and their partners to support the development and implementation of S&T capacity-building initiatives. I have designed and led external evaluations of multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional, STEM programs totalling over $400M in federal funding in 18 U.S. jurisdictions, and implemented peer review systems for national funding agencies, universities, and tech-based economic development organizations in the U.S. and abroad. I enjoy collaborating with diverse teams of researchers and the approaches and strategies I use are informed by my own interdisciplinary training in climate change science, paleoenvironmental archaeology, and anthropology, as well as from my experience developing and managing domestic and international research and field training projects, teaching undergraduate science and social science courses, and advising and mentoring undergraduate students. In my spare time, I garden, hike, and provide photo and logistical support for my husband's adventure sports photography company.
