Passionate about video content creation and driven by a love for creative technology, I am eager to bring my diverse skill set and enthusiasm to a dynamic role within the broadcast media environment. My journey has been fueled by a deep-seated fascination with cameras and storytelling, leading me to roles as a videographer, camera assistant, and digital content creator.With over five years of hands-on experience in local radio, DJing, and live broadcasting, I have developed a broad knowledge of media production and a keen understanding of various roles and equipment. Currently, as the key video content creator for Ngāti Hine FM and the launch of our local online Māori news service, Te Kukupa, I have honed my skills in motion graphics, filming, editing, and interviewing. This experience is complemented by my time at Māui Studios Aotearoa, where I managed video and still photography projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards and client satisfaction.I proudly worked as a trainee camera assistant and vid split on the feature-length project We Were Dangerous with Piki Films, embracing a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that taught me the importance of adaptability and quick problem-solving. My technical expertise extends to working with a variety of camera systems. I am adept at learning new technologies and applying them effectively, whether in editing with Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve or creating motion graphics in After Effects. My passion for creative technology extends to my personal time where I love to experiment a wide range of cameras and create music.I completed and passed all but one paper of my Broadcasting Communications degree at the New Zealand Broadcasting School, which was focused on film and screen studies, to gain real-world experience in the industry when the opportunity arose to work with Piki Films on set for We were Dangerous. Additionally, I hold a Diploma in Advanced Software Development from Computer Power Plus, which has enhanced my technical proficiency.Inspired by a wide range of journalists and story tellers, I am excited to advance my career in a faster-paced environment where I can leverage my skills, passion and creativity while gaining any new experiences insights I can along the way.
