In collaboration with my mentor, we derived a significant inference. Specifically, we focused on Dectin-1, a lectin receptor recognized for its pivotal role in the innate immune system's recognition of fungi, as well as its substantive contribution to the process of phagocytosis and cytokine regulation. To further advance our understanding, we employed the I-TASSER server to construct a homology model of the Dectin-1 receptor. The validity of these models was rigorously ascertained through the application of PROCHECK software and the inspection of Ramachandran plots.This project not only enriched our comprehension of intricate receptor-ligand interactions but also resonated deeply with the field of bioinformatics.
