Data is about storytelling and the stories I am most intrigued by are those on how, when, where, and why we move and what do the modes we use to transport say about us – as cities and communities- and our priorities.I spent my life travelling between cities across the Gulf, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East in general. This allowed me to develop a first- hand user experience, in addition to my academic and professional one, on the role different transportation plans and applications play in shaping my everyday life and the lives of those around me. This is true both on a macro and micro scale – from things like one’s journey to the grocery store to a community’s public health and vulnerability to communicable and non-communicable diseases alike.Throughout my multidisciplinary academic and professional experience I have written on various topics relevant to the creation and maintenance of Equitable, Healthy, Resilient, and Sustainable cities and Transportation. Those include: Sustainability, Bio-diversity, Water, Energy, Solar Technology, SDG’s, Refugee policy, and Mass Transit Policy and Post COVID-19 Urban Resilience and Recovery.
