My responsibility was mining and optimizing business processes. I worked closely with business affairs, the A&R department and IT to design and implement the company's custom build ERP and CMS systems. I supervised experiments in new business technologies, e.g. on-demand CD manufacturing for an international webshop (New York Times, 04/2013). UCMG was a major independent electronic record company with subsidiaries in NYC, London, Paris and Budapest. The companies owned substantial shares of the international distributor Intergroove and other companies in media and technology.The company had to close due to the general crisis of the music industry in 2003.
