Throughout my career I have worked in roles requiring collaboration with large groups of stakeholders, in largely independent environments requiring self-directed time and task management of very diverse workloads ranging from representing the organization at public events and meetings to phones/filing/bookkeeping/meeting minutes. At SCAR I worked primarily with volunteers, increasing communication and participation within a membership based organization of approximately 500 professionals. I became certified in Professional Standards Administration, the confidential processing of cases regarding ethics and arbitration involving members. Membership grew over 25% during my tenure. Our leadership team developed policies and procedures, a new strategic plan and strengthened the organization's financial situation significantly. I launched their first Facebook social media platform. In addition, together we met the first year requirements for the new core standards to retain the organization's charter with the National Association of REALTORS.As an economic development professional I focused on supporting the rural economy of Pike County, PA. I worked with a pre-venture entrepreneurs on processing their start up plans, referring them to the Small Business Development Center for in depth counseling. I created the Entrepreneurs in the Classroom program to increase awareness among local high school students of the opportunity to start their own businesses as career paths.I administered several Redevelopment Capital Assistance Grants for local projects, an annual state grant program and the Business Retention & Expansion Program. I was heavily involved in the creation of several of the organization's websites and the launch of its social media platform (Facebook).In addition, I created an Entrepreneurial Resource Center to improve local access to online references including a grants database and the organization's first tracking systems.
