About Danny Hendrix

I began my career in the pipeline industry in the summer of 1977 at 17 years old as a welder helper in Independence, Kansas. Later that year, I traveled to work on the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline. I changed my classification to Pipeline Welder in 1981 and traveled extensively throughout the United States constructing pipelines, power plants and refineries.In 1998 I went to work as a welding instructor at Pipeliners 798 Training Center. Such as life, the political winds shifted and after 18 months as an instructor I returned to the field of pipeline construction. A year later the winds blew again and I was asked to return to Pipeliners 798 Training Center eventually becoming Training Director. During my time at the Training Center I continued my education by certifying as a Certified Welding Inspector through American Welding Society along with my license as a Level II Radiographer in Gamma and X-Ray through the State of Oklahoma.Teaching was the most rewarding part of my career to that date but once again the political wind blew when I was prompted by insiders and outsiders of our organization to move up to the next level and govern Pipeliners 798 as Business Manager, where I have currently served since fall of 2006.
