The main goal for RemoSens is to conduct Hydrographical, Geophysical, Geological, Archeological and Forensic (law enforcement) survey projects on an international scale. Beside that, RemoSens provides global trainings / lectures / demo's to Surveyors in this field, including how to (post-)process survey data by means of e.g. Mosaic, CAD, GIS and Navigation software such as SonarWiz.MAP, Surfer / Didger, Tresco (and WinGPS for small scaled companies). A special survey discipline is locating drowning victims internationally and support with forensic knowledge. This Forensic knowledge for drowning victims and clandestine graves was gathered over approximately 20 years working in this field.

The function mainly consisted in conducting, managing and consulting global Hydrographical & Geophysical (Forensic) survey projects. Metaldec started with producing conveyor belt and hand-held metal detectors. A special part was UXO (UneXploded Ordnance) detector development.This resulted in production of marine metal detectors for UXO's and hidden weapons (law enforcement). In 1996 the UN invited Metaldec to sell a special detector to locate AP land mines in e.g. Laterite soil such as present in Cambodia etc.In 1997 an unforeseen change occurred in Metaldec's goal. It was asked to help locate 2 Drownings. The Dutch girl "Emmy Nijssen" and a Greek boy, both trapped in a shipwreck named "Jason". It lay 400 feet deep in Greek waters near Patmos island. The project lasted 2 years. Due to mostly unwanted yet often necessary media attention, Metaldec's skills and expertise became internationally known. From then on Metaldec's core business changed to Hydrographical and Geophysical Surveys and Sales. 1997 - 2014 Metaldec accidently became an expert in locating Drowning victims and clandestine graves. All this adjacent to the "standard" Surveys. For improvement in this field, Metaldec contacted globally situated Forensic experts, Pathologists and related disciplines. Metaldec started to study Forensic science (mostly focused on Drownings and Clandestine graves) and shared this knowledge globally with whom ever could benefit from it and shared valid information in return.Thanks to the international nature of those projects and many foreign contacts, Metaldec's core business in Hydrographical and Geophysical Surveys, Sales, Trainings etc. now stretched out from Canada / South America to Asia.Metaldec provided global trainings / lectures to Surveyors, Forensics, law enforcements. 1990 - 1992 Research & Development of switching power supplies. My biggest achievement was the development (from scratch) of a tiny power supply for ESA / NASA. It was part of a Camera, placed on the Space shuttle. It is still so nice to know that the device that I worked on, went far away from earth to space. It felt and still feels like magic.
