Business has always been about understanding what the customer needs and continuously improving one’s performance. It was like that when I started my career and it still is. The playing field changes all the time though, with the challenges of digitalisation, globalisation and demographics now clearly upon us.A critical success factor in facing these challenges is having the right organisation, designed around customer needs and business processes. I have been involved in defining and implementing improvements to organisation and processes throughout my career, as a manager, a project leader and as a consultant.I enjoy getting to know and understand an organisation in order to find the right solution. Although a certified 6 sigma black belt myself I realise it’s important to look beyond the buzz words and there usually are no single tricks that solve all.
