Core Overview:­Oversees, manages and trains the mining staff to ensure a competent workforce. ­Attends to the development and implementation of procedures and policies to ensure legislative compliance and risk mitigation. ­Takes responsibility for the stock levels management process and maintenance of equipment. ­Sees to all elements and functions to ensure the smooth operations of the department. Key Roles & Accountabilities:­Executes business strategies in order to promote the company and bring in new business. ­Compiles and reports on annual business planning strategy implementation. ­Works collaboratively with and ultimately leads mine maintenance function, mine engineering, support services, plant business areas, and HR to achieve all business plan objectives.­Manages the operational service delivery value chain and its related tasks, including delivery of optimum management of resources, finances and employees. ­Ensures the strictest adherence to safety protocols and occupational disciplines to mitigate risks. ­Works in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and statutory requirements. ­Steers the procurement of stock to ensure an appropriate assortment of goods. ­Oversees all orders, shipping, handling and other related costs pertaining to stock management. ­Manages full elements of human capital in accordance with Human Resources and applicable legislation. ­Directs the maintenance of equipment, vehicles and other assets to ensure its longevity. ­Supervises, grows, trains and develops staff, whilst identifying areas of skills transfer initiatives and improvement for optimum performance. ­Ensures process are adhered to guarantee a capable and competent mine maintenance workforce.­[Kindly be advised, further details available upon request (Comprehensive CV)].­­
