As functional manager i am partly responsible for information management at our company. In my daily work i translate the information needs from the business into requirements for different work and business processes related to manufacturing operations, logistics and supply chain. In the role of client for the ICT supplier and re-presenter of the user organization as the recipient of the information i am the intermediate between ICT and the business. Understanding the various information systems and business processes gives me the advantage to analyze the business needs, and advice the management about the possible ICT solution(s). On behalf of the business organization, project management is partly executed by the functional management group. Working with people from our company from different departments with various specializations is a real challenge. Multidisciplinary projects are the most difficult to manage, when all requirements are successfully implemented and the user organization is satisfied with the result, the project team could be really proud of there achievement. Personally i love working within a team with different kinds of people, making the team “work”, learning from each other, sharing knowledge, and achieve the targets within the budget. Also I am interested in learning about "how to" set things in motion and developing myself and others.
