We founded Bennu to restore our climate to a pre-industrial state better suited to supporting human life. To get there, we are removing methane from the atmosphere.Why methane? It's one the worst greenhouse gasses (80x worse then CO2), human activity has released so much methane that it has raised the global temperature by half a degree C. We are working on removing the excess methane that humans are responsible for.

Sensoriant develops IP around which it forms and spins off operating subsidiaries. Primary focus has been on security, identity, blockchains.

Founded and staffed this company, taking it through two rounds of funding from standing start to enrollment patients in clinical trials. Co-founder of Enterprise distributed database startup moving computation to the edge. Helped develop prototype, raised two rounds of financing, built team, managed early growth.

Cygnus was the very first company of the Open Source world (predating even Linux). As co-founder I was involved in all areas of the company throughout my time there. Significantly, I was at various times developer, salesman (top performer), business development executive, and finance officer. Built the company's embedded strategy which took it to a successful sale, merging with RHAT in 2000.

TLG was one of the first ISPs, before the term "ISP" (or the web, for that matter) even existed. TLG started out as a co-operative but evolved into an ordinary corporation that was later profitably sold to what is now NTT Data.

Architect of fundamentals of the Cyc semantic knowledge system, its programing language CycL, et al. I replaced a prototype D-machine design with a fundamentally different architecture on Lispms, based on the "level" approach, still in use, which I conceived, designed and implemented.
