Commissioned by the Climate-Knowledge and Innovation Community (Climate-KIC), I am doing research on high-tech entrepreneurship and business incubation. I perform parts of this research at Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre in Australia and at Unicorn Capital in China.

After my work in Australia and while finishing of my project with Climate-KIC and Utrecht University I'm back with Technopolis to do research and give advice on science and innovation policy.

As part of my research on high-tech entrepreneurship and business incubation in Australia I perform an internship at Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre. Apart from working on my research I am also involved in organising Start-Up Camp Canberra 2013. Lighthouse was launched in September 2008 and is changing the nature of start-up and small business support in Canberra through its business advisory service. Lighthouse operates as a business accelerator, bringing together a vast range of tailored professional and hands on services to the Canberra business community.

In the time between my graduation and moving to Australia I worked as a consultant at Technopolis. The work consisted of doing research and giving advice on science and innovation policy. The projects I worked on include a study on large research infrastructure policy and a study on international science, technology and innovation cooperation.

Doing research and writing my master thesis on International Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Cooperation. With the focus on sustainable development and the changing role for developing countries.

The Dutch Energy Club is a new 'for students, by students' initiative that acts as a facilitator in a network of students, alumni and professionals with a passion for energy.
