I am currently working as a software validation engineer in the greater Dublin area, having previously worked on the CSV team in Regeneron, Limerick, through PSC Biotech. My initial training as a validation engineer was completed in BioTechnique, Madison, Wisconsin, by carrying out a project to validate the facility for future production. Along with working with PSC Biotech, I am completing my CAPM qualification and have recently completed a course in CSV. I have future plans to obtain the Six Sigma Yellow Belt.I am a DCU Biomedical Engineering graduate, as of November 2015. During my time in DCU, I maintained an active involvement in student life, by carrying out the role of Events Officer, Vice-Chair and Treasurer for DCU Snowsports, and also undertaking the role of Class Rep. for the final year class of BMED.My Final Year Project (FYP) in DCU was titled Characterisation of a New Stereolithography 3D Printer for the Fabrication of Microfluidic Channels, and involved validating a desktop stereolithography 3D printer, by testing the outputs of the 3D printer, based on a set of inputs of channel dimensions, channel shapes and curing time of the resin. For the work that I put into this, I obtained a 1st Class Honours for this project.I have gained professional experience during my time at DCU, revolving around Lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma and 5S, and I have managed a quality management project in industry.
