Business development LNG/LPG and Oil Products, EMEA and APAC

Senior role cargo operations, supporting LNG traders and help building up an operations team for a growing LNG trading company fully owned by one of the world´s biggest LNG producers.

Sales & Business Development with the main focus on the UK market. Responsibilities include acquiring new business, expanding existing commercial relationships, account management and overseeing Operations. Our customer base consists of all the main cargo segments, with my particular specialisation being Oil & LNG/LPG. Proven track record in acquiring new customers, building strong business relationships, including with some of the major industry players. Strong network of business contacts from ship- owners, charterers, agencies and brokers.Since mid-2018, I started LNG Shipbroking department within Next Maritime. We offer our LNG customers to deal with one- counterparty throughout the Time Charter from fixing a vessel, taking delivery, bunkering, port agencies to redelivery. In addition we can assist with commercial consultancy.

LNG Shipbroking and Ship Agency Services

Manage global operations for TC-in/TC-out LNG and LPG vessels and Product Tankers, both as Disponent Owners and Charterers. In cooperation with LNG Trading, Comm. Operations, Legal, Marine Insurance and Technical teams, complete ship-shore compatibility (SSC) study, review buy/sell contracts, issue voyage instructions, monitor vessels performance and optimize bunker fuel consumption. Responsible for cost optimization by negotiating towage contracts, bunker procurement, advising on route selection and overseeing vessels’ performance. Played a key role in opening of the Northern Sea route by securing from the Operations’ side a successful passage of the first LNG ship sailing from Asia to Europe via this route. Opening the Northern Sea route became a significant milestone for the entire LNG industry, not just for Gazprom. Responsible for operations of the Product Tankers. Working close with the Business Development team on identifying opportunities for new LNG routes and vessel specification for expanding fleet. Training new personnel and oversee performance of the European part of the team.

Overseeing operators and closely monitoring performance of the vessels in the respective fleet. Fleet size 107: Containers, Tankers (chemical/LPG), Handies/Handymaxes (dry bulk) and Car carriers (PCTC). Monitoring the ship agents’ performance and negotiating agencies and towage contracts for the entire Zodiac fleet. Responsible for the final approval of PDAs and FDAs (Proforma- and Final Disbursement Account). Leading a project for optimising the company costs and procedures related to the agencies’ services. Responsible for communicating directly with Charterers as well as responding to Charterers’ enquiries and complaints on behalf of Principals.

Managed operations for all the Head owner’s matters on a global level: cargo-related issues, regulatory matters, tank cleaning, performance monitoring, global agencies contracting for Maersk Tankers’ owned vessels (above 25,000 DWT up to VLCC’s) and Time Chartered IN vessels. Monitored performance of the internal and external parties involved – Technical, Crewing, Commercial, Legal, Insurance and Finance teams within the organisation as well as the different service providers. Optimised operations in relation to crew change, procurement, technical services and dry docking. Was involved in the cost reduction project, including outsourcing of operations to India.

Worked as a Commercial Tanker Operator for Brostrom Tankers, dealt with CPP and Chemical cargoes (such as methanol, MTBE, ethanol). Also, worked in Chartering and as a Market Analyst providing insights and recommendations to the Group’s strategy and research team.

Established an import channel to Norway of electronics and physiotherapeutic equipment from China and Korea. Was responsible for logistics and negotiations of contracts with producers and resellers.

Served as a Second Lieutenant, Operative Sailor onboard mine-sweeper KNM Rauma and later onboard submarine KNM Utstein for the UN duty in the Mediterranean Sea (Jan-Jun 2005).

Educated and trained and flight students for commercial airliners. Flight and ground instructions. Aerobatic flight instructor.

Was responsible for training/educating Privates and Officer-cadets. Led the Search teams for cleaning shooting ranges. Worked with the local police authorities on anti-terrorism operations related to improvised explosives disposal.
